Pars Oil & Gas Company announces petcham production capacity to hit 57 M/T this Year

Iran’s petrochemical production capacity will hit 57 million tons following commissioning of a number of petrochemical projects at Kavian, Kermansheh and Bandar Imam Khomeini petrochemical plants up to the end of this Iranian calendar year on 20 March 2013.

Director of planning and development at National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Ramezan Owladi made the remarks on the sidelines of 8th Iran Plast Exhibition here adding total petrochemical production hit 42.7 million tons last year.

Plastic industry’s main players were present at this year’s Iran Plast Exhibition to present their latest achievements, Owladi said.

Private sector’s companies took part in the exhibition in large numbers and held very constructive meetings with NPC, which will bear fruit in the future in view of growth and flourishing the petrochemical industry, NPC official said.

Owladi went on to say that during the event, private sector offered constructive suggestions which paved the way for solving some problems.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Owladi said that petrochemical industry had finalized its 6th development plan adding the plan is focused on complementary industries and competing of chain in petrochemical industry. He also expressed hope the country to be the biggest petrochemical producer of the region in 1404 Horizon (2025).

The 4-day International Exhibition of Iran Plast 2012 wrapped up on Wednesday in Tehran. Plastic industry companies attended the event in five groups including raw materials, polymer machinery and equipments, complete and half-made products, engineering and technical services and polymer composites.
